Insite Overview
Xmotion Insite offers a powerful solution to assist in depot
management and scanning of items into depots, consolidation
points and warehouses. Insite provides capabilities to track
freight at Item Level and integrated with Xmotion Transporta
offers full item level visibility across transport operations.
Insite integrates tightly with existing Freight Management
Systems to provide powerful items level capabilities and tighter
operation control over freight movements.
Insite provides scanning capabilities to build manifests
or ‘loads’ and ensure correct items are loaded
and subsequently unloaded. Mobile devices utilise wireless
capabilities allowing multiple devices to simultaneously load
and unload and prepare manifests.

Goods
Receipt
Barcodes are attached to the goods as they are receipted
into the Yard. The barcode(s) is then scanned for each
item and a ‘shell’ or ‘skeleton’
con note is created which is transmitted by a wireless
network to the Freight Management System. An operator
then can ten complete any detail required on the con-note. |

Container/Pallet
Management
Goods may be packed into containers, pallets or other
packaging. The goods are scanned ‘into’
the relevant container or package which is then recorded
by Xmotion InSite.
Listing of Containers
Xmotion InSite provides the ability to list what containers
are located on site at any one time.

Outbound
Manifest
An outbound manifest is created in the Freight Management
System. Goods are then scanned onto the manifest as
they are loaded on to the vehicle. Multiple devices
can be operated simultaneously which will communicate
with each other and update scanned items from each device.
Exceptions are alerted to the operator to tell them
that goods are missing from the load or additional goods
are attempting to be loaded. This is then transmitted
to the Freight Management System to complete the manifest.
This provides a ‘view’ to the receiving
depot of goods that are about to be shipped.
Inbound
As goods are unloaded they are scanned. Xmotion Insite
then determines and alerts the operator of any discrepancies
between the loaded goods and goods that are being unloaded.
